Orange wines originated in Georgia. Now, you'll find them all over the world. They pair exceptionally well with crab, langoustines, and oily fish, as well as hearty and spicy Asian dishes. The color ranges from orange to amber, and the wines have complex aromas. This is partly due to the maceration of the white grapes along with the skins during vinification, resulting in more tannins than "regular" white wines.
