Birbét Brachetto

Birbét, also known as Brachetto d'Acqui, is a heavenly dessert wine made from the charming Brachetto grape. This aromatic red grape has been cherished for centuries in the picturesque Roero region. Brachetto brings wines to life with an enchanting floral character of rose petals and an abundance of red fruit, such as juicy raspberries and wild strawberries.

The classic dessert wine is made using the Passito method, where the grapes are slowly dried to reveal their sweet magic. But there's also a playful, lightly sparkling variety (vino frizzante or semi-sparkling wine) with a refreshingly low alcohol content (5-6%) – perfect for those who appreciate a subtle sparkle. In the Roero region, this wine is affectionately called "Birbet," made from "brachetto al grappolo lungo," or long-stemmed brachetto. These produce fresher, non-sticky wines that are effortlessly surprising.
